It’s not always easy to get into new habits but our list will provide you with a feeling of relief! Picking up new habits doesn’t have to be hard, in fact, it can be very enjoyable! These 4 healthy habits will change the way you look at life, leave you feeling less stressed and more relaxed and give you an outlet to release your feelings!
Whether you’re using a bullet journal (very handy for super creative people), a diary, an old notepad or some paper! Journaling is a brilliant way to keep yourself organised but also an amazing way to let out any stress you may have.
You can plan everything you need but also write down how your day has been. Anything that is playing on your mind can go on to paper. Your head will feel much clearer after doing this for a few days! It’s such a great way to take care of your mental wellbeing!
We talk about this a lot but we promise there’s a reason behind it! Meditation is so beneficial for the mind and body you can’t say no! If you’re new to meditating you can start with 10 minutes a day, whenever it suits you. Some people find it starts their day nicely and others prefer to wind down with meditation in the evening.
You can meditate completely alone or use a guided meditation audio, this tends to be better for beginners. Find yourself a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed, you definitely do not want to be disrupted by kids or a mobile phone!
Top Tip: Start your meditation sessions off with gratitude. In your head, go over everything in your life you are grateful for and just give yourself a minute for it to all sink in. It’s a great way to start the relaxation process!
Get your Water in!
We feel like you can’t walk anywhere now without seeing people with refillable, motivational bottles! They are great for the environment and most of all, great for you! The average adult should be drinking 2 litres of water a day but we know for a fact, so many people aren’t! Depending on your age, weight, height and where you live in the world… you may need to drink even more!
Water builds up most of our bodies so we absolutely need to stay hydrated in order to work properly. It also replenishes us and helps our brains function properly which is something we all use every day, obviously! The best time to get water in is as soon as you wake up as your body hasn’t had any for 7 or 8 hours… if you’re sleeping properly.
Next time you reach for a bottle of fizzy drink at lunchtime, ask yourself if you’ve had enough water today?!
Ah, how could we miss this off our list?! We could sit here and write pages and pages on the benefits of yoga but, we won’t keep you that long! Here’s what you need to know:
It’s important that we exercise every day to keep our bodies in shape and everything running smoothly. So many people palm yoga off and forget that it is really a form of exercise!
Not only is it great for our bodies but it’s absolutely amazing for the mind. Another great thing about yoga is that there are so many types you just can’t get bored! There are always new challenges, things to improve on and things to learn.
You’ll fall in love with yoga and your brain and body will thank you for it!
